Dental Emergencies

This week I want to talk about dental emergencies, specifically what to do when something goes wrong. If you fall and a tooth is knocked out, don’t try to clean it, put it in milk and bite on a wet tea bag-it has tannic acid and stops bleeding. If a crown gets loose and you can put it back in place, use a denture adhesive to temporarily hold it in. If you break a tooth and it leaves a sharp edge, get orthodontic wax at the pharmacy and place it over the tooth- even chewing gum is helpful. First and foremost, call your Dentist so the problem can quickly be attended to!
