Today was a sad day in Baseball! Tony Gwynn, one of the greatest pure hitters in baseball history died… a victim of oral cancer.
Tony fought a valiant fight over the course of several years but in the end died way too soon. I had the pleasure of meeting him once in Montreal. He could not have been nicer, as a very willing signer for this autograph collector.
