What Is Invisalign/Clear Correct? 

This is teeth straightening without traditional “metal braces.” They are made of clear thermoplastic material and look similar to teeth whitening trays or mouth guards. A series of Invisalign aligners are custom-made, in order to slowly move teeth into the desired position. Most people never notice the aligners are being worn.

The length of treatment depends on the amount of movement needed, and will be determined by Dr. Sunners. Most cases take about 6-18 months for adults. The length of time necessary for a teenage patient may vary.

Aligners are removed each time you eat, so you can continue to eat all the foods you love, without restrictions. With traditional metal braces, food gets stuck in your wires and brackets.

Aligners are also removed to brush and floss your teeth as you normally would. Clean your aligners by simply brushing and rinsing them in lukewarm water.

Active in contact sports? Invisalign/Clear Correct would allow you to continue wearing your aligners without having to worry about any sharp brackets cutting your mouth. If your sport requires wearing a protective mouthguard, simply remove your aligners and you’re good to go!
